This blog is being written for the JuLy RoCk StArS challenge as presented by Magda Cardoso (thank you!!).

Here is my July Action Plan!

ENVISION:

My best month would be to lose 10 pounds and to fulfill all of my obligation; including my own personal “wants” or goals. I give to everyone around me but not to myself for my inner most desires.

DECIDE:

Three goals

· Physical = Be able to bike 50 miles at one time by the end of the month (without killing myself) but also challenging myself in completing the 50 miles within 3.5 hours (making it roughly 14 mph). When I ended my ‘season’ last year, I was riding a comfortable pace of 12 and sometimes reaching 16-17.

· Nutritional = Log my food in the Weight Watchers journal…for every bite of food!

· Spiritual = Time alone / meditate at least twice a week for the month.

COMMIT:

Physical: 1. Ride my bike three times a week; increasing the mileage each time

2. Stretch for 20 minutes after each ride (very important!)

3. Walk at least three times a week during lunch for cross-training

4. Stay hydrated

5. Plan my rides in advance on a weekly basis

For the week of July 4th: Ride on Wed evening, Fri evening, Sat morning

Nutritional: 1. Eat at least 2-3 servings of fruit/veggies a day

2. Go to Verizon for “space” to download WW to phone for easier “on the go” logging

3. Take a picture of each meal (to stay accountable & jog my memory when logging)

4. Drink at least 10 glasses of water a day

5. Plan my dinners for nights that I have class (so I don’t eat chex mix & m&m’s)

Spiritual: 1. Stay present during my time alone

2. Be silent during this time

3. Don’t do anything

4. Remain in this state for at least 15 minutes

5. Plan ahead!

SHARE:

I will be posting information on my blog and linking it to FB (so I don’t clog up my friends news feed)!

Magda, you can help by posting your accomplishments, you are very motivating! Check-in on me to see how I am doing, where I am struggling and provide suggestions.

Great weekend!?!

Okay, so I'm conflicted! I had a fantastic weekend and spent some great quality time with my peeps but I didn't do anything that I absolutely HAD to do...dang!

I wanted to exercise....
I wanted to finish my ECON homework....
I wanted to study for my ECON final...
I wanted to clean my house...

This is what I did do:

Fri evening: bought a new desk chair & watched a movie
Sat: Cedar Point until 5pm (with the husband, his parents & my brother inlaw & his fiance) and later that evening had a WONDERFUL time with Carrie, Amy & Summer going to dinner & grabbing drinks afterwards. (Carrie is in town on R&R from her tour in Afghanistan ----> sucks that she has to go back!! Stay safe Carrie!)
Sun: slept in until 10! Did a little bit of homework...then I went to my nephew's b-day gathering (He is 3!! The years have flown...) & when we got home, the hubby wanted to watch a movie. How can I pass this up??? ESPECIALLY because he said I could pick the movie! :-p

While I am happy with everything I did do; I can't help but feel like I could've done more! Why do I put so much pressure on myself?

Anyhoo...it is the start of another work week. My goal this week is to log onto WW everyday to track my food. (I haven't logged in for a little while and I can tell!!)

Adding to my hectic life!

You know how I've been complaining about my crazy, busy life? Ya, well...I accepted the Finance & Budget position for a professional organization I belong to. Welcome to an even crazier time! Luckily my "duties" don't officially start until Aug/Sept.

After our Installation of Officers dinner last night (in which I had a small piece of baked/grilled chicken, roasted potatoes, & veggies) I went home to finish the ECON homework that was calling my name - I started it and then I quickly resorted to saying "this shit can wait til tomorrow before class". NoW....I have even more to cram into my day today. Why? Why? Why?

I need to start zapping myself when I get out of line, you know like the dogs get when they are being trained (...improperly). :~p

So, for now I leave you with that pathetic post because I have stuff to get done!

STUPID McD's!

Yesterday wasn't all that bad - EXCEPT for my dinner at McD's. I initially went through the drive thru to get an unsweetened tea before class last night and while I was ordering, I started speaking without knowing it and ordered a dbl cheeseburger. dbl?? why?? IF anything...get the damn single - right?!?!

Ugh, well, anyway, I ate the damn thing and class went fantastic and I got home that evening, went to bed an hour later and my stomach was growling. WHY? I ate a freakin dbl cheeseburger - this is like close to 500 calories....why would I be hungry?? I ignored it and went to sleep - good job Sara. ha!

I need to start making a plan for nights I have class. I bought fruit and other stuff for a healthy meal/snack but I ALWAYS seem to conveniently forget it at home! And I shouldn't mention that my 'home' is 5 minutes away from where my classes are held...and it would be WAY to much to swing by and pick it up. I mean, I would have to let the dog out, let him run around, feel sad that I can't stay and play, blah, blah, blah. I have to get to class early - to do my reading or finish my homework! You read my earlier post, right? Right??? I have no, zero, nilch, nada time on my hands.

I MUST set PRIORITIES. My priority this weekend?? Cedar point and Beer!!!!!!!!! Not combined though, I would get sick. :-D

I love and hate C.P. at the same time. I love it because I like to ride the coasters and the "high" I get from being scared/happy/excited/anxious all at the same time. BUT, I also hate it because they have these requirements that your butt must be a certain size to fit into their super tiny seats with the world smallest safety belt.

This is too skinny!

My experience a few years back, a big/gigantic fella was standing in front of me and the CP guard said, ma'am we need you to step over here and see if you can fit into this seat and clip the belt. I had ABSOLUTELY no idea how the safety belt worked and, of course, they "Can't" help you. So...completely embarrassed, I finally figure it out and I fit - however, we get up to ride the coaster and what do you know it...I was on the opposite side of when I hooked the belt at the gate and had difficulty getting it fastened...AGAIN embarrassed. But, yet again, it fit. The reason I'm telling this story?? I will never go to this ride EVER, EVA AGAIN...only because the made me feel ridiculous. I want to know why they never asked the guy in front of me....he COULD NOT fit and ended up leaving the line about 10 minutes before it was time for us to go up. I wonder if he heard me complaining?!?!

At that moment, I said, "I will lose weight before I come back to C.P. again". LMAO

This is sooo not true. I am the same - others may even say I gained one pound or two. SHUT Up - maybe I did...maybe I didn't. I honestly cannot remember.

Wish me luck as I start to prepare my mind (...and body) for CP this Saturday.

It was a hard battle!
